the first thing i done when studying the godfather is look at the critical reception and this is what i found at thatThe film is greatly respected among international critics and the public, it is routinely listed as one of the greatest films ever made. Rotten Tomatoes reported that 100% of 61 reviews were positive and Meteoritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the film has received a perfect average score of 100, based on 14 reviews. It was voted greatest film of all time by Entertainment Weekly, and is now ranked as the second greatest film in American cinematic history – behind Citizen Kane by the American Film Institute. In the 2002 Sight & Sound poll of international critics, The Godfather (along with The Godfather Part II) was ranked as the fourth best film of all time. Both The Godfather and The Godfather Part II were selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 1990 and 1993, respectively, while The Godfather Part III was not.
The soundtrack's main theme by nina Rota was also critically acclaimed; the main theme ("Speak Softly Love") is well-known and widely used.
Stanley Kubrick believed that The Godfather was possibly the greatest movie ever made, and without question the best cast.

Regarding the film outlaw i had a chance to look at its critical reviews and they were that The film opened to mixed reviews, The Daily Mirror slammed the film calling it 'simplistic' and 'muddled' and gave it 2/5 and 1/5 in their Friday and Sunday issues respectively. The Guardian described it as "ugly, naive, and deeply unpleasant: crime-revenge-porn without any style or wit or convincing narrative". Some media outlets have praised the film, such as The Independent, and The News of the World which described the film as 'bold' and gave it 4 stars out of 5. The film has been criticised by many for 'excessive violence'.
Outlaw entered the UK box office at Number 5 in its first week, but then dropped before closing at many cinemas.

upoon watching green street this is what i have been able to come with regarding the context of the film is that the name of the firm in the film, the Green Street Elite, refers to Green Street in the London Borough of Newham, where West Ham's home stadium, Boleyn Ground (more commonly known as Upton Park) is located. West Ham is supported by one of England's notorious hooligan firms: the Inter City Firm (ICF). that Although Green Street has received some criticism regarding the exaggerated level of violence shown between the firms in the movie in here they particularly glorify the firm and its actions, the cultural validity of the script is rooted in anthropological studies of firm behaviorism.

Review 1:Too much button, not enough zip by chris tookey
This critique is negative it takes an inside looking out view he puts himself in the storyline and mentions a quick summary on the movie without putting you off, it looks at the romantic side of the film with a picture of the couple in the middle of the review. i enjoyed the humour of the critique i thought he was quite funny which obviously kept me reading. i however disliked the fact he kept banging on about the length of the movie i thought it was good that he mentioned it but it started to feel irrelevant.the critique also made refrence to other text notably films the director has done before and the films brad pitt has acted in, this was just used to compare the films.the original source is mail online which you could say is a reliable source.I dont think this will affect the critiques position as it wasnt BIG,it was just standard. i found the comments intresting but they just agreed with what he had to say and the one comment against was too emotional. other than that i felt it was a good review but i felt the critique was annoying at times.
Review 2:Story of ageing backwards deserves lavish praise by Mickey Mcmonagle
The review is positive and the critc takes the angle of trying to understand the film and portrays it in a positive light without getting emotional, i like the compariosn with forest gump because i havent seen the film but i have watched forest gump so it painted a good picture in my head.
I disliked the fact that it wasnt long enough it was just too short which was a shame. they make reference to foredy gump and abit of background history on the director which was good giving us an insight into the director previous life. the original source is the sunday mail and i dont feel it was a reliable source as it is not taken serious by the people and it doesnt target the wider audience. it could affect the comments as the audience may not be intrested in his text because it doesnt aim it at the relevant audience. i dont think i learnt alot as it was too short and too simple.
